Dear Ladies:

This is our final pre-season reminder to:

1. REGISTER FOR THE LEAGUE (DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, OCT. 30!)

2. IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE HERE, SIGN UP FOR THE WELCOME BACK PARTY NOV.1 (DEADLINE IS ALSO OCT. 30). Lots of goodies are in store for this party, Members are free, guests and former league members are $25. Register on Foretees.

3. ALSO, IF YOU'RE HERE, SIGN UP FOR OPENING DAY NOV. 3 (DEADLINE IS OCT. 31). There will be a luncheon following the scramble.

If you've registered for the league, you get a gold star! If not, giddyup and sign up on Foretees or call the Pro Shop ASAP.  If you plan to play in the 9 Hole League, you must be registered.

4. WE WILL BE UPDATING OUR EMAIL LIST SOON AFTER OUR REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. PLEASE LET US KNOW YOUR STATUS. FOR EXAMPLE:

- IF YOU ARE A FORMER LEAGUE MEMBER BUT DO NOT PLAN TO PLAY GOLF THIS SEASON, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE RECEIVING THESE EMAILS FOR LEAGUE NEWS AND OUR LUNCHEONS ETC. YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR LUNCHEONS ETC.!

- IF YOU ARE NO LONGER PLAYING IN THE LEAGUE AND WANT TO BE REMOVED FROM THIS EMAIL LIST, PLEASE REPLY TO THIS EMAIL AND SEND US A COURTESY MESSAGE LETTING US KNOW.

Save the date for these upcoming invitationals: Countryside on Jan. 19 and Windstar on Naples Bay on Feb. 2. Usually each club sends four ladies, sometimes more depending on availability. We'll be sending out details early November. Contact Sandy Rye for more information.

Yoo Hoo Ladies!

The season is almost upon us! We’re looking forward to seeing you in November for the opening festivities – or whenever you arrive!

Below is a laundry list of reminders:

 1. If you’ve registered for the 9 Hole League, thank you for your timeliness. If you plan to golf with us this season and have not yet registered for the league – please go to Foretees and sign up. THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS OCTOBER 30, so don’t delay.

 Note: If you have been a 9 Hole League member in the past but don’t plan on golfing this season, please let me know if you want to keep receiving my lovely emails by replying to this email. You are always welcome to participate in our luncheons. Former members of the league do not need to join the league and pay dues to attend luncheons. Some of you have enjoyed receiving the emails for the league’s news so I’m happy to keep you on the list.

 2. Party, anyone? Our Annual 9 Hole League Welcome Back Party is Sunday, Nov. 1, from 5-7 pm on the Veranda. Members are free, guests and former league members are $25. Cash bar, plus lots of delicious apps: chicken sliders and skewers, shrimp rolls, dips and chips, crudite platters and more. Gluten free options will be available. Yummy!  3. Likewise, if you’re in town for the season opener, it’s Nov. 3, 9 am shotgun. Please remember to register on Foretees. It’s a scramble – with a twist!

 4. Countryside Golf & Country Club in Naples is hosting a 9 hole invitational Jan. 19. Save the date for this fun event called Putts, Pearls & Polka Dots! Outside invitationals are a great way to meet new people and check out local golf courses. We can send four people from our club, so if you’re interested contact Sandy Rye.

Welcome to another exciting golf season! Pat Montgomery and I are thrilled to serve as your co-presidents, and we are looking forward to a wonderful year filled with fun golf, friendly competition, and great friendships.

We have some exciting things planned for the upcoming season:

Golf Days & Casual Play Days

- Tuesdays: Organized game play.
- Thursdays: Casual play, with something new this year! You will now be able to sign up as a twosome on Thursdays, making it easier to enjoy a round of golf with a friend.

Introducing Golf Genius

This year, we will be using Golf Genius, an online golf management system that will make signing up for games, viewing pairings, and keeping track of golf events easier and more convenient. We hope everyone will enjoy this new addition!

Monthly Scrambles & Luncheons

We will continue our monthly scrambles and luncheons, which are always wonderful opportunities to enjoy golf and spend time together.

We also want to remind all ladies who are no longer golfing in the league that they are welcome to attend our luncheons. Just send Cheryl Carr, our corresponding secretary, a note at ec9holers@gmail.com that you are interested in remaining on our league email list. There is no need to register for the league if you do not plan to golf. But we would love to see you!

Special Events

We have several fun events to look forward to throughout the year, including:

- Queens Classic - January 

- Collier County Invitational – March
- Couples Mixer - March
- 9-Hole Championship Competition - March
 

Registration for the league is now open on Foretees! You’ll also be receiving registration reminders from Jeff Jackson, director of golf.

And, if you’re in town, register on Foretees for our annual 9 Hole League Cocktail Party (Nov. 1 from 5-7 pm on the Veranda) and Opening Day (Nov. 3).
