To become a member of the Eagle Creek 9 Hole Ladies League:
You must be an Eagle Creek Golf Member or Renter with golf privileges. New members must sign up on ForeTees under 9 Hole Member Registration, answer required questions and click submit. Your Eagle Creek membership account will be charged $80 for league dues for the 2026-2027 season.
New members must provide their last 5 golf scores either through the USGA GHIN Handicap System or from an accredited golf club. If you do not have a handicap established, you will be required to post 5 scores played at Eagle Creek before being eligible for prizes. The Golf Shop staff can help you enroll in the USGA GHIN Handicap System to establish your handicap.
USGA RULES will govern play and etiquette on the course.
RULE 1.3: A PLAYER IS EXPECTED TO:
1. Act with integrity by following the Rules of Handicapping and to refrain from using the Rules of Handicapping for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage.
2. Attempt to make the best score possible at each hole.
3. Submit scores to provide reasonable evidence of their demonstrated ability.
4. Play by the Rules of Golf.
5. Certify the scores of fellow players.
LEAGUE PLAY - In order to play on Tuesday (Tournament games) or Thursdays (casual play), you must sign up on ForeTees or you may call the golf shop. You must sign up by Saturday for Tuesday play and by Monday for Thursday play, unless otherwise specified on ForeTees. Members can sign up as a twosome or single for Thursday play. All other groupings will be assigned by the golf shop. You are notified of your tee time and pairings 1 day in advance via ForeTees.
PRIZE ELIGIBILITY AND PAYOUTS - Days that prizes are awarded include regular Tuesday games and any official tournament days. A minimum of 8 players is required for prizes to be awarded. For all prize play, the maximum handicap limit is 20 for 9 holes, and players must play from the Silver/Green tees. All league winnings are credited directly to your golf shop account.
BIRDIES & CHIP-INS - If you make a Birdie or Chip-in on a Tuesday or Thursday, fill out a Birdie/Chip-in card after your round (available at the front count in the Golf Shop). A witness must sign the card. Cards will be collected up to the week before Closing Day. Birdies and Chip-ins are not awarded on Scramble days.
MONTHLY LUNCHEONS - You must sign up for lunch (yes or no) on ForeTees if you are playing golf. If you are not playing golf on that day, you may sign up for lunch by calling Club Dining Reservations. If you have dietary restrictions, please indicate so in the notes when signing up on ForeTees.
CANCELLATIONS - Inform the Golf Shop staff as soon as possible.
SCORECARDS - After completing play, submit one signed and attested white scorecard to the Pro Shop. You can also enter scores into the Golf Genius app. More information on Golf Genius is available HERE.
SCORING DISPUTES - Both players must address any scoring discrepancy with the Golf Pro immediately. If the dispute stands, the player receives a warning. A second dispute may disqualify that player from winning individual competitions for the rest of the season.
HOLE-IN-ONE CLUB - Eagle Creek golf members are automatically enrolled in the Hole-In-One Club unless they opt out. Members are billed $5 to their club account for every hole-in-one made. If you hit a hole-in-one, you win a club account credit. Renters are excluded.
RENTERS - Renters play under the same guidelines as members but cannot compete in the Ladies 9 Hole Club Championship or place and win in the Queen’s Classic.
GUESTS - Guests may play with a member on Thursdays.
PACE OF PLAY : 9 holes are to be played in 2 hours. Golfers are responsible to ensure that this pace is maintained. Tips for faster play include:
If you prefer not to drive or keep score, ask your partner to be the driver. The cart barn staff will gladly adjust your golf bags.
Tee off on time.
Play "ready golf" and keep up with the group ahead. You can hit out of turn if it is safe and saves time, such as when another player is raking a bunker. Just make sure the group knows you are hitting.
Keep things moving with Drop and Go: Don't wait in the cart for your partner to hit. Drop your partner off at their ball with their clubs, then drive straight to yours, keeping safely out of line of play.
Park the cart past the green toward the next tee to avoid walking backward. If the passenger reaches the green first while the driver is still hitting, the passenger can drive the cart ahead.
Avoid putting your club(s) away until you get to your ball or to the next tee box.
Enter scores at the next tee box, not while parked next to the green.
Try keeping the flagstick in, or place the flagstick and extra equipment between the hole and the parked golf carts for a quick exit.
Avoid talking or other distractions as players are getting ready to hit the ball. Also, avoid conversations on the green after players are finished holing the ball. Exit the green promptly.
Unless game rules state otherwise, pick up your ball once you reach your maximum hole score.
Maximum Score = Par for the hole + 2 strokes + any handicap strokes (dots on the scorecard). Examples:
· Par 5 + 2 strokes + 2 dots → maximum score 9
· Par 4 + 2 strokes + 1 dot → maximum score 7
· Par 3 + 2 strokes + 0 dots → maximum score 5
POSTING SCORES - The Golf Shop will post your scores on Tuesdays and Thursday. Someone in the foursome should also post scores in Golf Genius. More information on Golf Genius is HERE. Outside of league play, you should record your scores on the USGA GHIN app.
GIVING PUTTS - All putts must be holed out if you are using your score in the day’s game.
MULLIGANS - They are not used per LPGA rules.
SCORING
Some of the games we play are based on a gross score, without any handicapping. If so, it will be clearly written in instructions provided in the cart. If we are using net scores, subtract the number of dots on your scorecard from your gross score to determine your net score. When you are using Golf Genius, ALWAYS enter your gross score and the app will automatically calculate your net score.
Maximum Score for Handicap Purposes
When using a net score for a game, there’s a limit to how high a score you can take on any hole. This is how to calculate your maximum score:
Maximum score for a hole = Par for the hole + 2 strokes + any handicap strokes (dots on the scorecard).
Examples:
· Par 5 + 2 strokes + 2 dots → maximum score 9
· Par 4 + 2 strokes + 1 dot → maximum score 7
· Par 3 + 2 strokes + 0 dots → maximum score 5
Posting Your Score
When playing in a 9-Hole League event (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or other designated 9-Hole events), turn in your scorecard to the Pro Shop. Someone in your group should also post your score in Golf Genius. More information on Golf Genius is available HERE. When you are using Golf Genius, it will automatically recalculate your maximum score should you enter a higher score than your handicap allows.
For any other rounds played outside of league or club events, you are responsible for posting your own scores in GHIN.
If, for some reason, you are not able to play all nine holes, you must have played at least 7 holes for your round to count. If you don’t finish all 9 holes, use Net Par as the score for any holes you didn’t play.
Net Par = Par for the hole + any handicap strokes (dots) you receive.
Examples:
· Par 5 + 2 dots → record 7
· Par 4 + 1 dot → record 5
· Par 3 + 0 dots → record 3
